5 Steps On How To Be ........

NATIONALISTIC

JOIN Organizations that Volunteer to Teach the Less Fortunate Children

This step is very important because when people are at their youngest, they are easily influenced by others. This means that this is the best time to inculcate in our fellow youth on how to be proud of their country, heritage and culture. So it's like hitting 2 birds with 1 stone because you end up teaching a child to be proud of what and who he is and at the same time you are also being proud of who are.

BE NATIONALISTIC

Here are 5 ways to help you become one

Just sit back and enjoy reading my 5 steps.

Thank you!

REPRESENT Your Country Proudly

Whenever you travel to other countries, always put your best foot forward. Be an "ambassador" of your country by being friendly and showing good manners. Give good stories about your country whenever someone asks. Always give your best in international competitions to show the greatness of your country. If you are working in another county, always show that you are at par or even better than the standards of the company that you are working for. Always show professionalism, bearing in mind that your actions will always be a reflection of where you came from.

STEP I

STEP II

BE PROUD of Your HERITAGE

This step is one of the most simple yet rarely done in the youth today. Being proud of your heritage means respecting your country's culture by speaking its national language and singing the national anthem with pride while standing tall and raising your heads high. It also means giving great importance to your country's traditions. As a Filipino, I take great importance in celebrating various festivities by including myself in the celebrations such as Ati-atihan, Flores de Mayo, Feast of the Black Nazarene, etc.

STEP III

STEP IV

CLEAN UP Your Act

We should exert effort to recognize that at the same time that we have good traits, we also have bad traits. As Filipinos, although we are polite and hospitable, we also have a bad habit of procrastinating (mañana habit) and a bad habit of just letting life run its course (bahala na attitude). After we "clean up" our bad traits, we can better show to others that our country is worth noticing and giving praise to. That being said, it is only possible if everybody steps up to make a change for the better. By changing collectively, we show our greater love for our country.

STEP V

SAY NO to Colonial Mentality

Many Filipinos don't think that the Philippines is as good as other countries. This colonial mentality promulgates our inferiority towards foreigners, making it impossible for Filipinos to appreciate themselves and be proud of where they are from. Saying no to this would bring out the full potential in Filipinos to be at par with other races because nothing would hold us back from bringing out the best in us to become as good or even better than other countries and therefore finally being proud of our country.
